GST to make common man tax compliant, while corrupt ministers and babus remain unaccountable

The so-called public welfare projects are planned and executed only to enable the ministers and bureaucrats to siphon off the money in the name of spending it for the public welfare. Image result for photo of jaitley speaking on gst
As a result of  massive misappropriation of public money, government levies more taxes in every  annual budget in the name of deficit financing and the public loot goes on continuously.

Raj Rishi

Finance Minister Jaitley says  that the GST will ensure that every Indian becomes  tax compliant like in advanced countries such as Australia, Canada, New Zeeland etc, but he does not explain how:

1. As late PM Rajiv Gandhi famously said, that 90% of the tax collection is gobbled up by the ministers, bureaucrats and contractors and only 10% reaches the common man.

2.That the so-called public welfare  projects are  planned and executed only to enable the ministers and bureaucrats to siphon off the money in the name of spending it for the public welfare.

3 .Whatever money is actually spent on public welfare projects goes waste as soon as the projects are completed- in fact most of them linger on for years- because of their sub-standard  execution. For example, thousands of crores of rupees spent by the Mumbai municipal corporation-BMC- on the construction of roads and drains are washed away by the first rain every year inconveniencing the public during the monsoons.

4. As a result of  massive misappropriation of public money, government levies more taxes in every  annual budget in the name of deficit financing and the public loot goes on continuously.

5. That thousands of crores of the hard earned money of the common tax payers is spent on recouping the non performing assets- NPAs- in the public banks since these assets are loaned away to the big corporates like Ambanis, Adanis, Tatas, Ruias, and several others who refuse to pay them back. No action is taken against the big corporates because they bribe the ministers and bureaucrats and also finance the political parties in contesting the elections.

6. I am neither an APPian nor a bhagat, but how come, the AAP government in Delhi has not levied any new tax and yet has ensured that  the Delhi  tax collection has upped by 38% and VAT collection has crossed Rs 20,000 crore by actually reducing the taxes.

AAP government has also saved hundreds of crores of rupees in building the flyovers, mohalla clinics and schools well before time without compromising on their quality while the Congress government’s massive loot is well-known in Commonwealth Games in Delhi and  countless other scams during its rule.
