Jharkhand Police on Saturday confirmed that it had arrested three people and detained another six in connection with the CBSE papers leak case. Among those arrested is also an individual, who’s being identified as Satish Pandey.
Pandey, who’s being described as a district coordinator of the ABVP in Jharkhand’s Chatra, is also believed to have been running a coaching centre, Study Vision. Taking a dig at the fresh revelation, the Congress attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi by asking ‘his own people are responsible for destroying the future of young students.’ It added, “If you look at the BJP’s history, this appears to be true.”
Pandey, according to police, had sent the 28 March paper to students on 27 March via WhatsApp.
Mocking ABVP’s recent statement expressing concern over the papers leak, the Congress-affiliated student body tweeted, “Now that the name of ABVP member Satish Pandey is involved, we are eager to see whether @ABVPVoice will take action against this ‘culprit’. Time for them to prove their real ‘concern'”

If the only duty of ABVP is to play with student's lives as we have seen it in a couple of Instances, the Govt. Must consider shutting it down#ABVPleaksCBSEPaper pic.twitter.com/bhVkZRMwwf

Meanwhile, ABVP’s national general secretary, Ashish Chauhan, rubbished media reports that Pandey was associated with the student body affiliated with the RSS. Chauhan tweeted, “Puddling lies has been a congress trait, said accused is NOT an ABVP office-bearer; as per reports he owns a business and is not a student any more. We stand for thorough enquiry into CBSE Leak issue.”
This came after the Union education secretary, Anil Swarup, announced that the re-examination for Class 12 Economics paper will be conducted on 25 April, while the decision on the re-examination of Class 10 Math paper will be taken soon.
