BJP Voter ID Scam Exposed: I’M A BJP Worker, Says Manjula Nanjamari

Earlier Union Minister Prakash Javdekar had claimed that she was a Congress party leader.

In an interesting turn of events, Manjula Nanjamari on Wednesday clarified that she is a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker after Union Minister Prakash Javdekar claimed that she was a Congress party leader. On Tuesday, 9,746 EPIC cards were recovered along with five laptops and a printer from Nanjamari’s apartment in Bengaluru.

“From 1997-2002 I was a corporator, and BJP helped me win. I was just a housewife and BJP supported me, so I consider myself under their ‘sharan’. I am not a Congress person, will never be,” Nanjamari told ANI.

On similar lines, her son Shridhar confirmed that he is a BJP member along with his mother and Rakesh (his relative). “Rakesh, my mother and I are BJP leaders, don’t know why Prakash Javadekar lied,” Manjula’s son Shridhar told TIMES NOW.

The Congress on Tuesday said the BJP was falsely accusing them of electoral fraud as the apartment from which voter id cards were recovered belonged to their member. However, the BJP countered the Congress’ claim by saying that Nanjamari and Rakesh don’t belong to their party.
Nanjamari, however, claimed that she rented out the apartment to a certain Rekha and Rangaraju. The Congress party had claimed that Rakesh was the tenant of the apartment.--NewsCentral
