The Prime Minister and the BJP had cancelled all political programmes scheduled for Friday, after facing widespread criticism for holding such events in the wake of the national tragedy. PM Modi was further criticised on social media.
Aam Aadmi Party MLA Alka Lamba said the inauguration could have been postponed or could have been held without the PM.
