Fact- check on how Modi “survives and thrives” on fake news manufactured by his troll army of 2.9 million members of a Facebook account

This Modi support group creates misinformation campaign using fake quotes, photoshopped tweets, unrelated images and videos shared with false contexts, all stemming from the same group. A pro-Modi Facebook group with 2.9 million members has become a hotbed of fake news

1. Fake quote claims Kangana Ranaut slammed Shabana Azmi with anti-Islam rant

2. Doctored video of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal

11. Misogynistic post uses photo of two women smoking and drinking to claim they are Barkha Dutt and Sagarika Ghosh

12. Old video falsely shared as cash found at Congress leader DK Shivakumar’s home
An old video showing lockers and bags full of cash has been revived online as cash seized at Congress minister DK Shivakumar’s residence. 16. Fake quote attributed to Jawaharlal Nehru saying “I am English by education, Muslim by culture and Hindu by accident”

17. Photo showing a 98 crore cheque issued by fugitive jeweller Nirav Modi to the Congress party
