Last week, Pakistan had informed the Indian High Commission in Islamabad about a possible attack in Pulwama. The information was shared with the US as well.
In February, a suicide bomber of the Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed had targeted a convoy of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Pulwama, killing 40 soldiers.

Jammu and Kashmir has been grappling with terror even as 10 security personnel were killed in just five days in the state. An armyman was killed in a gunbattle with terrorists in the state's Anantnag district today. Two terrorists, including the man who owned the explosive-laden car used in the suicide bombing of the CRPF convoy in Pulwama in February, were shot dead in the encounter.--NDTV
